Welcome to part 4 of the 7 part series on Activating Body Harmony, healing through chakras. In this 7 part series have been exploring how to create harmony between the chakras, so we experience improved levels of health, awareness and consciousness. We achieve this by using yoga postures, and some simple, yet highly effective body movements with an intention to release the blockages from our chakras and infusing them with the colour of light associated with that particular energy centre. The information contained in each energy centre dictates our levels of health, wealth and prosperity.
Each energy centre holds vital information for us to understand and integrate. By releasing challenges in each centre we can live a more awakened life.
Location – Centre of the chest
Colour – Green
The heart chakra is the connecting energy centre between the upper three and lower three chakras, unifying the spiritual and physical energy centres in our body and integrating them harmoniously. It is the seat of unconditional love, self love, relationships, compassion, empathy and it dictates our psychological and behavioral characteristics. It is from this chakra that we give and receive love. We experience beauty in life through this chakra and it promotes openness and acceptance with our world and ourselves in profound and fulfilling ways.
Jealousy, inability to forgive, withdrawn from relationships, lack of empathy, excessive isolation, unable to trust others, toxic relationships and restlessness.

Repeat each pose thrice, staying with it for 20 seconds at least, focusing your attention on the chakra at all times. Keep your breathing normal and relaxed. Imagine the chakra getting activated, opening up and expanding as you do these yoga postures. Infuse this chakra with the colour green. Feel the green colour filling your entire body.
Stand erect. Put your arms behind your back, clasp your hands together, locking your elbows and bend forward. Feel the stretch in the chest muscles as you bend down.
Stand and stretch both your arms out on either side of you. Now start by rotating your arms in small circles and slowly move them in larger circles. Move in clockwise and anti-clockwise directions. This engages the muscles of the upper arms and upper back.
Windmill – Stand straight with arms stretched on either sides. Move your torso back and forth. This movement sends energy to the arms and hands and loosens up the tight muscles in the chest and abdomen.
The principle of awakening related to this chakra – Knowing vs Owning
Knowing vs Owning is not about upgrading your personality or becoming a better person, it’s about owning your soul and integrating it into your personality. It is about understanding that the more you know yourself the less other people’s opinions will matter, because you start recognizing where you are and owning who you are. And when you operate from this space, you own who you are naturally and create a response which is not based on others judgement and belief of who you are. Read the chapter and put to use the daily practices mentioned in it to clear the stuckness of energy in that chakra and to upgrade its consciousness.
